left the classroom at 9.30am for band.. we didn't hav our recess =) lols.. we went so early to tune and practice for SYF at 4.30pm.. ms azlina and ho yeung gave us each a card.. mr samuel gave us a very CUTE sock as a lucky charm to giv us gd luck for SYF.. ^^
at about 12.30pm, we went for lunch and changed into our BAND UNIFORMS.. very hot but nice :D when we finish changing, we fall in and they gave us the ribbons for our hair and the "scarf".. we helped each other put it on and it was a very hilarious process.. we were all laughing and smilin while doin it.. when we finish doin our uniforms, we were suppose to take a BAND group photo but we didn't hav time.. if we were late for SYF, 10% of the marks will be gone.. so they decided to not take the photo..
we took 2 buses to SCH.. one for woodwinds and percussion, the other for the BRASSES!!! lols.. when we reached SCH, there were other buses with students from other schools going back and preparin for the competition.. i was nervous but for a moment, i had no feeling at all.. clarissa and coretta came to support us.. they were so supportive.. mr lau, mr chiang, mr foo, teachers in charge and some graduated, ex-band mates came too.. mostly clarinetists.. sherlin, suane and more.. huimin(trumpeter) came too.. we were waiting for our turn and we said gd luck to each other.. =)
when it was our turn, we prepared to go on stage.. we played our best and i think that we did very best and we deserved that GOLD.. at least a SILVER.. but i think the judges didn't think so.. they gave us a BRONZE.. but in our hearts(like hoyeung said) we got a GOLD.. we were very sad and a lot of pple cried.. i yuying saw lynette crying and she started crying too.. when i saw that, i was abt to cry to but i stopped myself.. if i started crying, my eyes will be swollen.. lols..
in the bus, everybody was very sad.. when we reached sch, we went to the music room.. ho yeung spoke but he was crying and when i saw him crying, my eyes is already very watery but i stopped myself.. michelle,vernice and yuying cried a little too.. lols...
when hoyeung was talkin, the auntie that was going to lock the gates got very angry at us coz it was very late already and she wanted to go home.. we all left the sch and xinyan, deborah, priya, coretta and i waited for our parents.. deborah's mum sent coretta home.. coz it was very late le.. 7 plus... so that was the special day that i had.. my very first BAND SYF =)
